Building Matters Ann Arbor

Building Matters Ann Arbor is an architecture and urban design nonprofit that I founded in 2017.  I created it to fill a gap in our community knowledge of place-based memory, normalizing change, and bringing more people into civic engagement with and advocacy around buildings through a series of programs predicated on the structure of the civic engagement ladder. BMA2 regrettably did not survive the pandemic, but I am grateful to the our Board, docents, supporters, and many, many program attendees.
